On Wednesday the 24th of August and  Tuesday the 6th of September the year 5/6 students represented Holy Trinity & St. Mary’s in Interschool Sports for Softball. The competition took place at Gilbert Park where we competed against teams from Knox Park, Bayswater West, Kent Park and Wattleview. Our school had two teams compete with one team being an all girls team and another a mixed team.

Both HT teams were very successful during the competition with both teams winning all of their matches on the first day except for the game between both Holy Trinity teams where the HT mixed team won.

On the second day of competition we were equally successful with Holy Trinity defeating Knox Park in the grand final by 8 runs. Both teams  were premiers of the Scoresby district and will play against the other district winning teams in the Division Interschool Softball competition in term 4.

Overall, everyone really enjoyed the representing HT & St. Mary’s in softball and consistently demonstrated the TORCH values throughout the competition. Well done to everyone and thank you to Miss Tubby and Mr. D for helping to coach and prepare us for the competition.
