On Wednesday 24th of August and Tuesday 6th of September, the students from Years 5 and 6 students represented HT and St. Mary’s at tennis at Mountain Gate.

The students chosen to play tennis were divided up into 2 boys teams, Team A and Team B, as well as one girls team. Team A consisted of mainly Year 6 boys whilst Team B consisted of mainly Year 5 boys. The girls team consisted of both students from Years 5 and 6.

Some of the schools that we played against included Boronia K-12, Kent Park, Wattleview, St Judes and Scoresby. When Team A was playing games on court Team B would be cheering, counting the team’s points or practising and getting ready for their upcoming game. Then Team A and Team B would swap and it was great to receive encouragement throughout the day. Everyone was very enthusiastic even when the other schools were winning.

Overall, it was a very successful and well organised day with all teams winning some games. Well done to all students for their great behaviour and for representing our school with such great sportsmanship.
