As this is Nick Wakeling’s last year as State Member for Ferntree Gully, the Year 6 School Captains were invited to attend his ‘Annual Junior School Captains Luncheon’.

On the 9th of September, the Captains, Mia, Zeke, Ella G and Nathan, attended the luncheon hosted by Mr Wakeling at the Knox Club. This was an opportunity to meet with other primary school leaders in the Knox area. When Mr Wakeling called up Holy Trinity, we had to introduce ourselves and tell everyone what High School we are going to next year. We shared with other school leaders and their teachers what we do as leaders of Holy Trinity. We told the group about what we may like to do in the future, as a career. Finally, we spoke about what would change about our society. We were nervous about talking in front of everyone, but spoke well.

We learnt about Mr Wakeling’s role, as well as other leader’s opinions and thoughts of being a school leader. We really enjoyed the experience.
