To mark National Reconciliation Week (27th May – 3rd June) the Year 5 students listened to Thomas Mayor, author of the story book “Finding Our Heart”, explain why he wrote the story. He also read the story aloud during the video we viewed.
The Year 5 students reflected on the 2022 theme of Reconciliation Week “Be Brave, Make Change” and designed posters which included messages about how we, at Holy Trinity and St Mary’s, can work together to treat everybody equally and fairly.
Last week Year 3 Blue experienced their first Sunday Gospel Session at our Monday Google Meet. After sharing the Gospel and reflecting on the discussion questions, the students were asked to be creative and crafty.

Last week the Year 3 students read the book “Bounce Back”, on the Epic website, as insipration for posters which they created. The posters include positive messages about how to bounce back from challenges. They chose different groups within the school community to focus on. Take a look at their creative and uplifting work…
Year 3 and 4 Democracy, Community and Me Incursion
The Year 3 and 4 students participated in a fantastic incursion which immersed them in knowledge and activities related to rules, laws and the basics of democracy. They experienced a mock council meeting and a local government voting role play scenario. It was a rich and enjoyable experience.
